Okay, so I was thinking of making my saltwater (not sure yet, I might breed b/n in it) but I would want it as a FOWLR tank. Here are my question's
1. Do I need high light's to have live rock (I have a .75 WPG , would that be OK)
2. Could I stock it with some clownfish, some snail's, blue-leg hermit crab's and 5 neon gobie's?
I have been researching all I can for SW tank's so correct me if I am wrong.
I also have a extra 10g I can set-up for a QT tank.

It helps to have a mixed spectrum using blue light.
Knowledge and research will keep your live rock living.
The thing you want to encourage on your live rock is coralline algae

Okay, turn's out I am going to breed b/n pleco's instead. Thank you for your help! Maybe some time later I will get a SW tank!

Okay...so my friend may be giving me a 55g acrylic aquarium with what I think is a 15-20g sump system, "high lighting" (not sure of the wattage) would this be good? If I were to set it up it would still be a FOWLR for about a year for it mature then add some "easy" corals if the tank is stable still.
Here is what I need to ask:
Can I have this stocking list (after they are properly quarantined)
I saw on the post "Marine Species NOT for beginners" that some of these may not be good for a beginner but just thought I would throw these out there.
1x Yellow tang (Zebrasoma flavescens)
2x True Percula Clownfish (Amphiprion percula) OR 2x Ocellaris Clownfish (Ocellaris Clownfish)
5x Neon gobies
1x Longnose Butterflyfish (Forcipiger flavissimus)
What do you think?

Great news about the free tank...
Clownfish and Neon Gobies are fine, the Yellow Tangs are a bit more demanding. You could try a small one for a while, but as they grow they really need a six foot long tank to be happy. The Longnose Butterfly will sometimes do okay in the hands of an experienced aquarist, but for a beginner Butterflyfishes are a bad idea; avoid them for at least a year until you get more experience. Even then most of them can be a real pain for the average hobbyist. There are many other hardy fish you can enjoy, your research will lead to success... here is a good book which I have recommended to many on this forum:
