Really???? I thought it would be OK, since they grow to about 2" and don't really move around much. My grandmother's tank has a BMS and it's not much of a "danio," lol.

haha but I just saw them at my lfs and thought they might work but what ever

I don't know if 1 or 2 shrimp would work. It might because they each only need one gallon.

Well a lot of fish look like they might work at the fish store, but they don't some times. A 3 inch Oscar in the tanks at a fish store look like they can fit just fine in a 20 gallon, but they get multiple times larger once they mature. It is the same case with Apple Snails, depending on what species of course. The largest species can reach sizes of up to 6 inches and that is far to large for a 5 gallon.

Shrimp with a Betta in a tank that small, is a dead Shrimp waiting to happen. Even with an abundance of plants, I don't recommend it because why have an animal constantly live in fear, with no where else to go?
