About year year ago I bought a Nymphaea sp. 'rubra' specimen for my 33G tank. The bulb broke off soon after but the plant is thriving well without it for months now. The bulb never sprouted again, but appears to have stayed hard without any signs of fungal infections. Overall I'm wondering whether it's still alive, and if there are any ways to make the bulb sprout again? Or should I simply throw it out?

Thanks

Ernie

That's wierd because every bulb I've bought has sprouted more plants after I take it off. I would just throw it away

Try re-setting the bulb by drying it out and putting it in water again. It might work.
