faery-It is bare and was for about a week, I was busy at work plus finals this week so I didn't spend much time with this tank. I was also working on my puffer tank.
Pavlos-All purpose play sand from home depot is what I've been using for the two years I've been in the hobby. Its cheap but you'll spend an hour or two rinsing it.

Here is what it looks like today after a trip to the fs for some plants.
I still have to do something about that back center area, still a bit empty, and a background I think....

| oh I love it. maybe a tinfoil background? it can reflect some of the tank making it look deeper |

Put the heater lower - it will help water circulation and be less of a risk during water changes.
( and you can hide it ) |
