Get a few specimens, observe, and after write publicly, is the way to go.

I was checking with Harro and he said that they aren't cannibalistic-don't eat their own kind.
Anyways I'm looking for these guys
Anentome helena
Brotia manningii
Brotia pagodula
Brotia decipiens
Celetaia persculpta
Theodoxus fluviatilis
If anyone has these and wants to sell or trade. I can get hold of some of the nerites as listed on this website http://www.planetinverts.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=72 Nerites are native to Japan therefore cheap. _________________ Fish...More than just sushi |

Hey Edinjapan, I'd recomend you go on Aquabid and look for An3on, I know he sells anentome, celataia and the manningii and I think he has at least one of those two other Brotia sp.
Also check out this site. _________________

I lost one of my A. helena. It was upside down and sticking out of the shell... Do you think the snail was trying to right itself and couldn't?
I have not seen any of the other three in awhile... which has me worried. They do like to bury themselves in the sand, so I'm hoping they are just hiding. I spent too much on these snails to have them all die on me... I wish I would've kept them in a species tank until they bred and then added some to my main tank... _________________ Dumpster Tank

thats s shame. I went to my LFS they HAD them, but they all died. I wanted one, but for now, I am busy trying to breed snails in quantity. I just don't want them breeding in my main tank. _________________ Sunstar's Seeker Sanctuary |

He has some posted now 3 for $10, but won't ship to areas where night time temps getting below 50 and its taking 2 weeks to receiving them. I just ordered 12 from Tropical Fish Factory through another website. He is based in California.
Each snail will consume 4 snails a week, once there is no snails for it to eat you can feed them brine shrimp, blood worms and such like that. They do not eat each other from what I have read, but if there is no snails in the tank they will sometimes eat your cherries and other shrimp. _________________ 47 tanks and still adding!
