I've had these killifish for a few months now. The pet store where I got them had no idea what type of fish they were. I'm sure they're a species of Aplocheilus. These photos don't show the green color that some of them have on the upper half of their bodies. These fish are close to 3 inches in length. They're doing well in my 20g, but I've never been able to find out exactly which species they are. Does anybody know what they are?

I th8ink either Blue panchax or female golden wonders. The wild form of the golden wonder (Aplocheilus lineatus) has vertical stripes. _________________

| Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I have it down to two species, though I think they're most likely some color variation of Golden Wonder killifish. |

I agree that they eat a ton--they are also capable of snacking down smaller tetras and danios; you have been warned! Mine spawned for me in mops of hornwort, but they'll devour the rather large (for killifish) eggs and fry asap too. _________________ But if you tame me, then we shall need each other....You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.
