It was a community and I would like the same for my saltwater. I've read Dr. Fenner's book and wrestled with the ideas of what to put in it. My girlfriend and I have decided (at the least I researched it all) for the stocking list of the tank. I am going to do a fish and small inverts tank.
1 - Volitan Lionfish
1-2 - Kaudern's Cardinal or maybe larger clownfish?
1- Heniochus black and white butterfly
goby input?
and of course the cleaner crew(shrimps, crabs, snails, etc..)
I was really worried about overcrowding and the lionfish eating the Cardinals? I just assume the lionfish would eat a smaller clownfish(ocellaris, percula), maybe? Input would help a lot and I would appreciate it. |
well...
at least you didn't go with a 30 gallon recommendation. |

art_of_war, there's no need to be bitter about disagreements in method that are already done and past. I myself have seen many people recieve the '30 gallon' recommendation from Dale and FloridaBoy, both respected and knowledgable members of this community, and succeed.
People don't necessarily have to agree with you. I do think that having a larger tank is a good precaution, but please don't carry this across topics.
Sounds like a good tank, lilmuskrat66! The only problems I can see with that are the chromis, as tayler said. Either removing one or getting more would be better. _________________ OM NOM NOM

Art of War... it is extremely inappropriate to take a debate from one thread over into another topic (and doubly so for a topic where your adversaries aren't even posting!).
Please refrain from hijacking threads to suit your needs. It is disrespectful to the other posters who were not involved previously. _________________ "Just don't look in my fish room honey... it's just better for all of us. " |
