I live in leeds in the u.k and have a fancy goldfish in a 15 gallon inside both his other friends, which where blackmoors, died and I wondered if it would be OK to move him into our pond outside he is not that fancy really he has the normal body shape of a normal goldfish but with a veiltail and he a bit shorter, its spring here now and the temp at night does not drop below zero degrees would it be OK to put him outside ?

If his body is near normal in shape he should be OK in a pond BUT he can't go out until the Summer.
A good guideline is that it is safe to move fish from indoor tanks to a pond when it is safe to put hanging baskets out.
Here in Nottinghamshire that is the last week of May.

The only fantails that don't do particularly well in ponds are telescopes, and bubble eyed, along with those really fat ones that I forgot the name of. Don't mix them with fast fish though because they won't get any food.

A regular fantail or veiltail will do fine in a pond.
