| Hi I'm looking for the Hagen marine-glo light in this size 30 cm (12"); 8 W; 5000 hours, or any light that is 50/50 in this size. It is for a 6gal. marineland nani reef. Any Help Please! Thank you. |

Do you live in the states? Only reason I am asking is because these bulbs are more popular in the UK and Australia.
Are you sure it was a marine glow, I can't seem to find one smaller than 18" _________________ Its only fun if you make it fun! |

Hi,
Thank you for your reply, yes I live in the US. I found the bulb and size by searching this site. I have found the power-glo in this size, but I kinda wanted a 50/50 bulb. I have a small tank and want to do mostly invertabretes and hardy corals. Do you think this other bulb will sufice.
thank you |

If this will be the only light for this setup, it will not be enough to keep any corals that I'm aware of.
To keep some of the hardiest, most basic soft corals, you should start with at least 32 watts of PC lighting for this tank. As a rule, normal output fluorescent lighting is not sufficient for a reef.
AFAIK, you can only get 50/50 bulbs in PC anyways. _________________
