Has something bad happened to the Killifish farms? About 5 years I could get Fundulopanchax gardneri or at least Golden Wonders from several locations in Indianapolis. Now I'm having trouble finding anyone who even raises them in this area of the US. I've fallen out of the loop and am wondering if someone could help me.

In the U.K. you could go to the British Killifish Society. Is there an equivalent group you could contact? Maybe the B.K.S. could put you in touch with them but that does seem like a silly long way round. Good luck.

Hi Candlerat!

The tip from rob90 is a good one. There is an American Killifish Association with tons of current information about killifishes. Their website is:

http://www.aka.org/aka/modules/content/index.php?id=2

Hope this helps.

Ah thanks for the information. I didn't realize there was an organization for them. That should help immensly.

Hi again Candlerat,

You're welcome. I'm sure the AKA will be quite helpful. You might also want to check out your local aquarium society. Indianapolis is fortunate to have a large and active local organization for tropical fish hobbyists. I imagine you might find some killifish enthusiasts among their members. The Indianapolis Circle City Aquarium Club has a website at:

http://www.circlecityaqclub.org/

Hope this helps too.

I was thinking the same thing, I had to wait 3 months for my gardneri's as a friend of the LFS owner bred them especially for me. Its mad.
