|
|
| I am setting up a 38gal. And was wondering which would be better Bolivina Rams or Keyhole cichlids? I had 4 or 5 keyholes in a 37gal at one time with no problems. Other tank makes would be a bushy nosed pleco and a few Kuhli loaches. It would be planted with various Anubias. This is after the tank is cycled of course. |

I haven't kept Keyholes, but I really like the Bolivians. What kind of water do you have?

I haven't kept Bolivians. We do have a single young Keyhole, and he is a star considering his tank mates, he is in with a shoal of Zebra Loaches, Tiger Barbs and a refugee Angelfish (Fell out with his mate, and is recovering from the fight). The keyhole always gets to the food first, and even though he his tiny compared to the Angel, he has away of looking top of the tank in a peaceful sort of way (He is smaller than the Tiger Barbs still).
Difficult to sex!
Bob
PS The above stock is a temporary set up. |

| I really enjoyed the keyholes I had a few years ago. So I'm seriously consider picking up some more. Unfortunally their $7.95 each. The one I had before were only $3.49 each. I'm thinking 4 or 5 Keyholes, 5 or 6 kuhli Loaches, 1 Bushynosed pleco and plenty of Anubias. |

| Scatrch the 38gal, I'm going with a 40gal breeder. The 40gal has a much better footprint. |
