Anybody have any info on these? I can't find anything on the web about them. They look very different from the normal congo tetra. They have a grey turpedo like body with a black horizontal band near the tail, but not through it, and a yellowish tint in its eye.

That's exactly it, thanks! I knew it was labeled wrong, because congo tetras look so different from it, it's actually called a long finned tetra.
