I purchased a hydor prime 20 cannister back in april 06 now cannot get decent flow (down to just over a trickle).
I have cleaned filter regularly and as far as I know medium is alright.
Any suggests. woukd be welcome.

Make sure there isn't a blockage in the in/out lines themselves, then check to see if the turbine is spinning cause the motor may be bad for whatever reason. I don't know much abotu these filters, but if they have some sort of flow control valve make sure that's working right and is open.

also check the propeller to see if it needs cleaned it builds up gunk very quickly and never cleaned could reduce flow and clean the hole out that the propeller slides into. I also know very little about that brand, so if no blockages whatsoever it may be time to junk it.

Took filter back to supplier who replaced it after a grump (half hearted), but flow still quite slow. I probably will go for different make.
Thanks again,

Colin Stewart. Smile
