I bought an apistogramma borellii last saturday.
he seems happy and healthy as far as I can tell,
but today I've noticed he often has a turd trailing, sometimes
turds longer than he is (2")
I've seen him eating flakes and tubifex worms and picking at
algie (sp) wafers.
does anyone know what this means?
should I toss in a bran muffin for him? _________________ ROCK! |

Hi,
I have a borelli too - I'm over in Waukesha - welcome to the forum. I'd watch him and make sure he isn't getting skinnier. If he is still eating and swimming normally than it was probably just the result of a big dinner! (Holiday season you know...) If you think he might be getting thinner, I'd feed him a antiparasite food. I'd mix Metro+, by Hikari, (a form of Metronidazole) in a bit of warm water and soak his favorite food in it.
