THe topic is exactly my question, can you feed peas to a betta and if so, how, boiled? warm? cool? mushed? whole? Since its new years day, I wanted to give him something like that for a kindda treat.
thanks a bunch, and Happpy New Year!!

| Yep! Boiled, just like you'd cook it for yourself (except without any seasonings.) Let it cool to room temperature, take the skin off, and squish it a little between your fingers. Be sure to take any leftovers out of the tank when your betta is done eating. |

It doesn't have to be boiled, you can feed it raw as well. Just remove the husk. I use tweezers to feed portions so that very little or nothing is missed.
Peas are a gentle laxative, so you can also feed them if your betta ever gets constipated. : ) _________________ What color is your straitjacket? |

Can other kinds of fish eat peas as well? Just curious... _________________ "color is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammer, the soul is the piano with the strings" - - wassily kandinsky |

On the whole vegtable thing, I feed my Anglfish cucumber!!
All you have to do is cut off the hard skin and cut a slice. Best thing to do if you don't have a little cucumber thingy holder is just put some gravel or what ever you have that is small and heavy enough to way it down as otherwise it floats to the top and when the fish to nibble some off it moves across the surface and they can't catch it, which I can imgaine must be so fustrating!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! |
