I added fish recently.
I'm looking for opinions on the feeding regimine I'm following.

10 g planted:
1 pepper cory
1 panda cory
2 ottos
1 flying fox
2 neon tetrae
1 black phantom tetra

feeding:
pinch of flakes daily
spirulina wafers 2x week
parboiled zucchini 1x week (lasts 2 days before melting)

I'm concerned for the ottos - they cleared the tank of black algae in 2 days.
comments?

otos are fantasitic algae eaters and will normaly go with out starving as they can usualy find enough microscopic organizms and the sorts to stay alive but with a small tank like that it needs to be mature. the otos will go after letuce and other vegatables but do not feed them to much of this as I have heard they will stop eating algae for these foods if they get them often. your feeding plan sounds good but add a bit of meat in to it like blood worms or brine shrimp.

thanks for your advice.

the tank is a year old, so the plants and algae are well established. Its just the otos and the panda cory which are new.

If I fed the occasional brine shrimp, which fish would eat them, and how much would I feed?

I depends weather its live or frozen but I would say only once a week unless its live as it provides good exersices for the fish. if it is live feed twice a week.
