hello I'm pretty new to all this,my tank was given to me its 30x15x12 so not very big.I put sand in the bottom and I put it through the cycle.to start with I have just got guppys but I want to know what fish or other creatures are good for cleaning tanks and the sand.Any information would be grateful.

For Algae, Otos seem to be the best bet for tanks of that size. As for cleaning the sand, a small shoal of Cory cats would do the job, probably around 4-5 depending on how many other fish are in the tank when you add them.

ONLY add these fish once your tank is cycled, I know it's hard to wait, but it's for the better of your fish!
