OK so I have a 80L jsut over a year now so its has a good mature fliter, the tank is slowly losing it's residents!!
At the momment were down to 5 firelight/glowlight tetra's!
So new stocking plan ( BTW the tank is deep not wide)
My budget is good so going for a quiet heavily planted tank with diftwood and a small flower pot which is terracotta, so I checked with my fish store, it shouldn't affect pH or nitrate levels long as I has a good blast with water to wash off any bits!
So going with just one specices which would be Cape Lopez Lyretail
Around 4 or 5
and just MAYBE a 3 or 4 little freshwater shrimp to chill at the bottom.
So any idea's,tips comments please let me hear them!!
Thanks a lot Funky Fish |

You shouldn't be concerned about what new fish to add...you should be concerned about why you're losing the ones you already have! Those fish can live for 5 years or more, if you're losing them at only 1 year of age there's something wrong which needs to be corrected...
Describe your complete setup: equipment, water parameters, maintenance routine, etc...so we may help you identify and correct problems... _________________

No its not that I'm losing them in a death/bad way my angelfish has moved to a bigger tank but bdfore hand the little tetras were quite a nice snack when he flet like it!! Aswell he got alil firsky at feeding time and ..you know when the tetra's got in the way......
But he is fine now bigger tank not a worry, so all functions in my tank are go and running smoothly!!
But do you think that septup with the lyretails is OK?!
I read that its one male - to five females
Is that a big issue?
thanks so far |
