Weird stuff hanging on glass?

In my ten gallon nano (fish only), I have a small (one inch) false percula clownfish. The decor is fake corals and a few rocks (might be the problem here) filteration is a brand new power filter doing 90 gph. I also have an airstone (powered by 10 gallon size pump). I noticed a while back some weird grayish things hanging on the front glass. Now, about a week later, they cover almost the whole top half of the front glass. Sorry I don't have any pics but it seems like they are a bunch of little organisms that cluster together. What I am wondering is are these things OK and what the heck are they?

Otherwise... they could just be a form of algae. It's really hard to say without seeing a photo though.
