Anyone check these guys out? No bigger than a Maxi-jet, they consume less power, 3D rotatable head, and magnetic connectors. The 6025 model pushes about 660 GPH, the 6045 pushes almost 1200 GPH, and the 6055 is variable up to 1450 GPH!
They're slated to arrive at the end of September. Time to pre-order. |

Wow, very cool. You sound like a gamer hearing about the release of a huge game. By the way, Gears of War's "E-Day" is Nov. 12. Yay! _________________ I would like to acknowledge that all of the info I give is purely based on research. |

Hehe, I guess I'm a little excited because I found the perfect solution to increasing flow in my tank. I originally was thinking a closed loop, because I don't want those fugly giant power heads like the Seio's or regular Tunze's in there. But I ran into issues over which pump to get get (basically it's a choice between a silent pump + heat, or a cool running pump + noise).
When I found out about these Nanostreams, it was the perfect replacement for my existing Maxi-Jet's and cheaper than any pump. Only caveat is I have to wait.
And Gears of War looks unbelievably awesome. But I'd have to upgrade my PC to really enjoy it and after all the money I'm spending on my aquariums, I don't think that's possible... |

They sound neat, but will probably take forever after to reach Australia. Heck, I'd settle for being able to get Maxi-Jets. _________________ Fishing in the Rivers of Light |

Lucky me, I will be able to get those as my first powerheads. I'll see if Marine Depot has them pre-ordered. _________________ I would like to acknowledge that all of the info I give is purely based on research. |

Hey, I emailed Marine Depot and they said they had just tested them in their offices. They don't know when they'll start selling them or how much they will be.
Do you guys buy from anywhere besides MD or Big Al's? _________________ I would like to acknowledge that all of the info I give is purely based on research. |

| I'm preordering from J&L Aquatics. They're a Canadian company. |

Nice. I wasn't sure if they'd be available here right away. _________________ Am I obsessed? Wait a minute... don't answer that! |

| Doh. According to a post by the Tunze USA rep at Reef Central, the Nanostreams have been delayed until about mid October. Apparently the guy who is supposed to inspect and certify them before production begins is on vacation for a little while. Bugger. |
