Hey guys.

I was cleaning out my pond today from all the left litter & removing the dirty brown water. I took the two old Goldfish out & placed them in a seperate bucket.

while removing the leaves I scooped up a small goldfish. it was the size of a 50 cent piece.
A few minutes later I found another small goldfish

Just by having a pond & only doing water changed every 5 months & only feeding therm once in a while, my goldfish spawned naturaly.

here the timeline of my fishpond

1999: my parents decided to use the old bathtub as a fish pond

may 1999: my mum brought 4 goldfish, during the weeks 3 of them died.

october 2000: my mum added 4 more goldfish & the one year opld goldfish died

2000-2004 3 goldfish were eaten by bird

2004 I placed my 4 year old oldfish in my tank & a few days later I got 2 goldfish & the old one would start chasing the commet so my brother decided to place it back in the pond.

2004 november. I placed both goldfish in the pond.

2005 may. After doing huge water change the blackmoor was nowhere to be scene.

end of 2005-early 2006. the two goldfish spawned

Its amazing how the eggs were not eaten

Great to hear! I'm impressed at the timeline...I could never recall stuff like that. I can hardly tell which fish are still alive or not and how old they are. As things warm up you should continue getting more eggs/babies.

How big are the "old goldfish", they may still eat the fry if the size deferens is dramatic?

the big goldfish is around 14 cm long. he would probably be around 8 years old cos godfish doesn tgte thier gold untll they are 6 months old.

the younggholdfish ion my pondf already have their color.

my mum told me not to remove all the wars cause there might still be eggs

Well, if they have not already eaten the fry/young-goldfish, then they probably won't.

No disrespect to your mum, but I highly doubt that eggs six months old will still hatch Laughing , unless your goldfish have spawned again, which I also doubt.
