well yes it does...but in the manual I bought to teach goldfish tricks...it recommends a 5 or 10 gallon for one or 2 goldfish....now I'm worried because I'm thinking a 20gallon may be just barely big enough

If you want them to learn tricks then 20g long and 29 or 30g will work well. The key in my opinion is not to make the tank interesting, very little decorations. Then the fish look at what ever you put in their tank and want to try it out.

What ever tank you use, make sure you have good filtration and like I said before more water gives you more flexibility
