hi this is my boy or girl
can you tell the species!!!
is it a GinChinRin?
one more thing
he measured 9 centimetrers or 3.543307 inches 26 days ago 14_MAI and now 14-JUN he measures 10.8 centimeters or 4.251969 inches thats 1.8 centimeters or 0.708661inches more, is this a normal growth?
also its more 25,4% than the size he/she had on 3-MAI 8.5 centimeters or 3.346457 inches.
I never saw him eat but he/she looks well feed I keep throwing some pellets into the tank :p
the tank also has lots of algae and mosquito larvae(do they eat the larvae?)
any sugestion on the type of picture angle advised is also welcome

Hard to tell the gender of this fish. First things first it is not mature.
I'm not sure about the growth-but koi are reputed to grow very very fast when small. I know goldfish seem to swell in front of your eyes in a pond. Speaking of which I hope you have a large pond in which he could go to. While its fine and also fun to keep the babies in a large aquarium for the first year or so they are not aquarium fish.
The species is Cyprinus carpio. As for variety I'd say if you bought it as a special one that is what I would refer to it as. If not I guess it would be just a "white koi". Whether or not it has a cool name tagged on it is nevertheless a beautiful fish.
Chances are the fish eats some of the mosquito larvae, but not all of them. |

first I tank you for the reply!
he is in a 5000 liter outside tank!
yeah hes is still little I know its is a koi but since it was not sold to me with any name(I chosed him bettween many other) I don't know the name!
I also tought he was a withe koi but now he has a rosy color and the fisn are getting and head yellowish; and also he has shinny scales!!
do all small koi have shinny scales?
probably you are correct and is a simple white koi! but I would really love if he keeped the shiny scales!
the next one ill buy will be in a new store opening that will have the names and all and that good since quality koi or at least named here in portugal arre very rare. |

| Not all koi have shiny scales. This is a trait that some have. I'm no expert on this but I doubt they will dissapear when the fish gets older. If you like shiny scales you might want to look into some of the koi who resemble the wild mirror carp(that is, with only a few big shiny scales...often in rows). |

I have see those large scaled ones around but I don't find them very pretty!
I just hope that mine keeps the shine!
I was thinking that he was white as you suggested but after seeing small white koi I can tell that mine is not white at least at first sigth but is really rosy as it looks  (this unless he changes the color) I have see a foto on the net of a rosy one white shiny scales but I doubt that mine will ever look like that.
I gess ill wait 2 months and see   |

| your koi looks like it could be a shusui... but not a very showy one, thi is based on the younger pictures. the older one just looks like a white koi. |

One of my koi looks just like yours. I've had him for about 2 years, after about 6 months his head went a pale yellow. Now he has only small orange spots on his body and he lost some of the shiny scales, they where replaced grey scales just like yours. I don't have a name for mine ether, because I brought him on a kind of, low grade koi sale, but he looks just as good as the rest.
