I need help. I'm worried. I've had a red cap Oranda for approx 2 yrs now. His red cap was aptly red. Two months have passed since his color started fading out completely from his cap. It started on the back of his cap and progressively went all over his head. His cap is now kind of clearish in color. I haven't done anything different to his food or water changes and he isn't behaving like he's in poor health but I'm puzzled as to what happened and why this has happened. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be?
He's in a 55 gal aquarium with a pleco, a couple of cory, and a blood parrot.

hey is it alright to keep an oranda, ranchu, and a black moor in a 55 gallon tank?

Yes! That sounds like a true haven as long as you not going to overstock, and there are no other fish in the tank Smile
