Like so many others I started off with one two foot tank given to me by a family friend that didn't want it, and now I need AA - aquarists anonymous!
Couple of questions from an Aussie, metric, fish girl -
How many gallons in a two foot tank of average hieght and width? I think it is about 65 litres, but I get confused on these round the world websites.
Also, any other Aussie suckers on this forum? It helps to get local knowledge sometimes. Plus, I am quite taken by the idea of raising endangered Aussie freshwater fish, if there are any.
So far I have bristlenose that spawn every month on the dot. All my LFS put together can't keep up with my supply!
Guppies - useful canaries, if you know what I mean.
Pisto Agassizi
Glass cats
WCM minnow
One stubborn khuli
Anyhow, great to be here!

WELCOME TO A OF A! a fellow aussie! well if your taken with breeding endangered aussie freshwater fish you might want to look into native fish australia, great organisation. not sure if theres such outside melbourne. I know a guy whos works with them sortof. he has a paint making and selling factory and he has a 220g tank I think(48" x 32" x 32") with a female trout cod! basically when she spawns the eggs get taken to the HQ of nfa and are fertilised and raised.
cheers
